The Shank Brake 9mm

$38.99

The Shank Brake is much more than it seems. Continuous testing and development has turned this brake into more than just a spike on the end of your barrel. The concept came from the old bayonet.

Bayonets were used in past wars and were primarily for stabbing or slashing while attached to a rifle. Pros and cons to each but being able to inflict damage without the loud sound of gunfire at night was one of the benefits.

This “shank” design has been developed to be used in a similar way to the old bayonet but used on a shorter platform gun. SBR and PCC style guns can have this brake installed and give another option for inflicting damage or defending yourself without having to pull the trigger. The short reach makes it perfect for keeping the gun short for tactical room clearing and close quarters combat where pulling the trigger may not always be an option. However with its odd shape on the end of the gun barrel it’s not intended to hold group accuracy at ranges beyond 100 yards.

  • 1/2-28 threads.

  • This brake is supplied with one crush washer to attach to the end of the barrel.

  • It is recommended to have professional installation on all parts.

  • It is recommended to use a quality thread locker when installing.

  • Made from high-quality materials 100% in the good old USA!
